Storm has celebrated its 11th Birthday which fell on the club’s Wednesday night Summer Training.
Attendance at this year’s Summer Training has been very high and that proved to be the case once more as the players got stuck into birthday cupcakes after a great session!
The club was born 11 years ago, on the 6th July 2005 when 9 people turned up for the first training session.
A junior section was added two years later and since that first training session membership has risen to well over 120.
The weather was perfect for outdoor training and the players certainly got stuck into the session including the ‘fun’ relays at the end!
The club is getting ready to move training back indoors as preparation for the 2016/17 season continues.
Training currently takes place on the track and grassed area every Wednesday evening at Carn Brea Leisure Centre.
Juniors, current year 8 and under, are training at 5:45pm with the Senior section, year 9s and over, training from 7:00pm.
This Sunday, the club is holding a 3-hour skills and match play Taster Session for players who are years 5-8. This session is completely free and open to everyone. Registration is 12noon in the main hall at Carn Brea.
Club Photographer and Sponsor Andrew Trenoweth was on hand to celebrate his own birthday and take some snaps, we think this one should be this week’s caption competition! Feel free to add your suggestion in the comments below!
