South West Fixtures Are Out

Cornwall Storm News 2017/18 South West Regional League 3 (South)

This year’s South West Regional League fixtures are now available and Storm know that they will start and finish the season with home games.

The season begins on Sunday 1st October with the visit of Somerset side Tor Knights.

With 18 home and away matches, the season concludes at the end of March with Titans coming to Cornwall.

Netball South West has expanded the third tier of the Regional League and this is the first season of a split Division 3, North and South.

Storm will take part in the South division with clubs from Devon and Somerset also involved.

The club’s first team will play under the name ‘Cornwall Storm’ in the Regional League as Bristol Storm are already in the Regional set up so to avoid any possible confusion the decision was taken to use this name!

The club has had success at Under 16 level in two of the last three seasons when the Tornadoes won the Second Division on two occasions.

The step up to Senior Regional, however, is going to be a challenge but one club Head Coach, David White, says everyone is excited about: “We know how tough it’s going to be but we’re all thrilled to be involved and are looking forward to testing ourselves against some really good teams.”

Open Trials for Storm’s Regional League team will take place towards the end of July.

Any player who is over 15 is eligible, to express an interest and for more information please contact us on the form below.
