Pre-Season Matches Underway

Cornwall Storm Matches News 2018/19 Pre-Season 2018/19

Storm started the build up to the Regional League season with matches against Exeter and Galmington.

Storm took part in a tournament at the University of Exeter at the weekend which featured sides from Exeter and Galmington clubs.

Both clubs are in Regional 1 and 2 so it was a great pre-season test for the Cornish club.

“With one win and one defeat it was great to blow the cobwebs away after some tough summer training,” said Head Coach David White.

Storm gave a debut to 14 year old Keira Green who played in both games.

Also featuring in both games was another 14 year old, Bryher Croker, who played in the Regional team last season also.

With last season’s Captain, Rebecca Thompson, missing because she’s having a baby, Hannah Cox takes over the Captaincy for the new season.

“It was great to actually play some matches again so a huge thank you to Exeter for organising the tournament,” said White. “It was really pleasing to see lots of different combinations and how everyone played together.”

Storm will now take part in the big Netball South West Pre-Season Tournament next weekend when 20 teams from across the three Regional Divisions will take part.
