Storm (1) got their second win of the season when newly promoted Bodmin came to Carn Brea.
It was the second consecutive Friday Night Netball for the firsts and they made it two out of two after taking the game by the scruff of the neck in a blistering second quarter.
Maggie Moore was back in the side after missing last week's win over Penzance. She started alongside Jenna Waters in the defensive circle with Emma Heller at Wing Defence and Laura Clews at Centre.
In attack Betsy Willey started at Shooter with Rebecca Hocking at Goal Attack and Amy Clews on the wing.
The first quarter was fairly tight with Storm leading 13-9 at the break but the visitors had no answer to a tremendous second quarter from the home side.
With numerous turnovers and interceptions Storm took the quarter 20-5 to lead 33-14 at the half time break.
Emma Stevenson came on at half time as first Heller then Waters rested for the next two quarters.
The second half was much tighter with Bodmin taking both quarters by a solitary goal, 12-11 and 14-13.
Storm's shooters were both on great form, only missing four each all game. Willey shot 89%, Hocking 84% as the 57-40 win temporarily lifts Storm to the top of Division One.
