Carn Brea Storm's Lottie Richardson has been selected for the Team Bath NTL (National Talent League) side again this season.

Lottie, who's been out for seven weeks with an ankle injury, was immediately drafted in to the squad for the U19s National Netball Festival to be played at the English Institute of Sport in Sheffield this weekend.

It was important to impress the coaches selecting the Festival squad, however, Lottie didn't expect the kind comments from the Team Bath Superleague players who the NTL team played training games against.

Team Bath and England defender Eboni Beckford-Chambers who marked Lottie said she stood out and was impressed with her play and speed. Not bad for a 16 year old against a full international 7 years older!

Asked about her own performance, Lottie stated she was satisfied with the session and judged it a solid 8 out of 10. "Give me a week or so and the hard work I am doing in the Tremough Campus Gym with my personal trainer Rob Smaldon will pay off", she said.

Rob, an ex marine, has been instrumental in Lottie's rehabilitation and is now focusing on developing her speed, strength and stamina.

Low ankle impact spinning classes have kept Lottie's fitness at a peak over the 7 weeks without netball.

While the RICE and HEM methods for repairing the sprain have been followed on a daily basis to repair and rebuild the damaged ligaments.

In the near future we will feature an article on injuries and the various methods for rehabilitation which will include explanations of the RICE and HEM methods.

And we will of course, let you know how Lottie gets on in Sheffield
