The Storm players were put through their paces, literally, using Formula One based technology.

Brian Price is a former Formula One designer who worked for the McLaren team before leaving the sport to concentrate on running.

Brian moved to Cornwall and has set up a business using technology based on the same systems he used whilst in Formula One.

He brought those systems to Carn Brea Leisure Centre this week to test the movement of the players feet as they run.

Their movement was then analysed on a laptop before Brian gave them advice on what trainers they need for their foot motion.

This will enable the players to purchase the exact trainers for their feet and will help in preventing ankle, knee and hip injuries.

Head Coach David White said the players found it very useful; "It's going to be beneficial to everyone next time they need a new pair of trainers. Netball is such a high impact sport on specific parts of your lower leg that the right shoes are critical and can go a long way to help preventing injury."

Brian runs a business called Run Tru which is based in Truro.
