The Festival is being jointly organised with Carn Brea Leisure Centre and is a chance to showcase the facilities and the club whilst supporting two very important charities, Shelterbox and The Phoenix Stroke Appeal.

Visitors will be able to watch three netball matches plus be entertained by dance troupes, pom-pom cheerleaders, watch a gymnastics display and find out about the vital work the two charities undertake.

The matches begin at midday with Storm Tornadoes taking on Penzance Under 14s.

This is followed at 1.30 by Hurricanes v Falcons and then at 3.30 Storm will play St Agnes.

In between the games Asquared and RedYOUth will entertain the crowds with Hip-Hop dance, street dance and funky routines.

Gazelles Gym Club is one of the top gymnastics clubs in the area and they will be putting on two displays during the event.

Carn Brea Storm will be playing in the excellent facilities at Carn Brea Leisure Centre this season

If the crowd is a little quiet during the games then pom-pom dancers from West Coast Cheerleading will be on hand to up the noise level and will be rushing on court to perform routines during the quarter breaks.

Redruth Radio will be running the PA system for the event and will be broadcasting live from the Festival.

All this plus Shelterbox will be on hand with one of their tents and the equipment that goes in the boxes on display.

It's going to be an exciting afternoon of sport and dance and best of all it's totally FREE!

So get yourself along to Carn Brea Leisure Centre on Sunday, 4th September. Doors open at 11:30am with the first game getting underway at midday.
