Storm took part in the Rotary Club's "Everest" Climb for the second year and the girls did the club proud on a sunny Bank Holiday Monday!
Determined to do more ascents than last year, the girls set themselves a target of five per team to tie in with the launch of our fundraising year celebrating the club's 5th birthday.
The three teams of Sadie White, Lisa Budd, Bev Bradley, Rebecca Hocking, Sam Collins, Stacey Bradley, Michaela Bradley and Richard Hocking all succeeded and completed their five climbs despite some sore ankles and knees!
The path up Carn Brea is a rugged and testing climb of 82 metres and each team has to do it carrying a Shelterbox between them.
Tom Henderson, the founder of Shelterbox, was in attendance again this year as were many Rotary Club members including Storm sponsors Stephen and Carol Lay.
Last year Storm entered two teams who did three ascents so a big well done to everyone for this year's effort!!
