Storm's Summer Bike Ride will be taking place along the Camel Trail this year.

Storm Summer Bike Ride - The Camel Trail

After a gorgeous day and a lovely cycle along the Bissoe Trail last summer we've decided to visit Dunmere, Wadebridge and Padstow for this year's ride.

It takes place on Sunday, 27th June and we'll be cycling from The Borough Arms at Dunmere through the woodland part of the trail to Wadebridge then alongside the river into Padstow.

We'll be stopping at Rick Stein's for a Fish and Chip lunch before heading back to Wadebridge and finally a celebratory drink at the Borough Arms!

The route is flat and is approximately 12 miles each way.

It's easy going as it's on a gradient designed for steam trains and engineered in the century before last.

The surface is generally a mixture of chippings and coarse sand giving a firm base which is suitable for every level of cyclist so there's no excuses!

We'll be leaving Dunmere at 10.30 in the morning and after a gentle ride to Padstow should be lunching around 12.30pm.

We're planning on leaving Padstow at 1.15pm and should return to Dunmere, after a easy ride back, at around 3.15pm.

You don't need to book but if you want to let us know you're coming that might avoid us cycling off and leaving you behind!
