Summer Picnic At The Ponderosa |

The Ponderosa Camping and Caravan Site in Redruth held a summer picnic on Sunday to raise money for Storm Netball Club. The site, which is run by Bev Bradley and her family, will be sponsoring the club's matchballs for the 2010/11 season after raising £165. Over 160 people attended and enjoyed an afternoon in the sunshine. Children were treated to pony rides while others played rounders and spent time in the pool. Pasties and cream teas were the food of the day and some Storm members spent the weekend camping on the site. Club secretary Sadie White said; "We'd all like to thank Bev and her family for putting on the event and for very kindly donating the money to the club. "It was a lovely family atmosphere on the day and we're delighted that the money raised will be able to buy us five Gilbert Matchballs for the new season."
