Betsy Willey prepares to shoot against Hayle

Storm won their opening two fixtures of the brand new Cornwall Summer League on a beautiful evening at Pool.

The sun was shining and there was just a breath of wind as Storm took to the court in their opening fixture against Lastonet.

Hailey Collins made her Storm debut at Goal Defence and in the second quarter Betsy Willey came on for her debut at Goal Shooter.

With line up changes every quarter Storm went on to win the match 18-11.

They continued their good form into the second game against Hayle with all ten players being utilised at various times throughout the game.

Despite being 3-0 down early on Storm fought back to level at 3-3 then took control of the game eventually running out 25-10 winners.

Storm Head Coach David White was pleased with the night's work; "We had a really good time and I think the girls are just pleased to be back on court after spending the last month running on the sand!!"

"It was a thoroughly enjoyable night though and I'm delighted Betsy and Hailey settled in so quickly. Everyone played well and the weather was perfect ... well it was for watching anyway!!"
