Martha, who plays for Storm's Under 14 Hurricanes team, played centre for Storm 3 in their home match against Liskeard Cougars.
Martha was selected to attend the County academy just before Christmas and Storm Head Coach David White was delighted with her performance. "I thought Martha slotted into the team really well. She didn't look out of place, feed some great balls to our attack and made some important interceptions."
Storm 3 had a new shooting partnership for this game with Lauren Edwards moving from Goal Defence to Goal Shooter alongside Rachael Cosier at Goal Attack.
Cosier is still recuperating from a knee injury that saw her miss almost a year of netball.
"We're keeping an eye on Rachael and we're working together on bringing her back so she's confident with all aspects of the physical side of the game," said White. "She certainly looked more confident in this game and did really well alongside Lauren who was playing in the shooting circle for the first time!"
Storm got off to a slow start losing the first quarter 11-5 and had it not been for this they could have won the game by one after winning both quarters in the second half!
"It was an enjoyable game, all the girls said they loved playing in it and I thought they put together some nice play at times. Our attack certainly did a great job and I think Lauren may have found herself a new position!!"
