Starting with the same team that played against Penzance 2 on Monday Storm got off to a much slower start as the visitors dominated the opening exchanges.

Storm found themselves 8-2 down in the first quarter before pulling it back to trail 9-8 at the break.

Falmouth stretched the lead in the second quarter by another two goals and Storm were losing 20-17 at the half time break.

A reverse of the 11-9 scoreline from quarter two saw Storm pull back the Falmouth lead to just one goal at 29-28 going into the final fifteen minutes.

Shannon Russell, who's been out with a wrist injury, replaced Rachael Cosier at Goal Attack for her first quarter of the season as Storm set about Falmouth from the whistle.

Storm got a goal ahead and it stayed that way till the final minute when Falmouth equalised only for Storm to go back in front with 30 seconds remaining.

Falmouth took the centre pass and tried to feed the circle but an excellent interception from Hailey Collins turned the ball over and Storm kept possession to see out time and take the win.

"It was a tense last few minutes but I'm delighted for the girls to come back into the game the way they did," said Storm Head Coach David White.

"We got off to an extremely slow start and I thought the girls might have been a bit tired from their efforts on Monday night but they pulled it back throughout the game and Hailey's interception right at the end was crucial."

"It was nice to see Shannon back playing again and hopefully we can start easing her back into the team quarter by quarter."
