With Emma Heller, Sharon Teague, Amy Clews and Laura Clews all unavailable Storm called on Olivia Ballard, Saira O'Dwyer and Bianca Lincoln and all three stepped up to help the team take all five points.
Storm came out of the blocks at full speed scoring 18 goals in the first quarter.
Storm continued to dominate in the next period with Sadie White only missing one shot in the whole of the first half.
Defensively Lisa Budd and Maggie Moore, who was captaining the team in the absence of Sharon Teague, took numerous interceptions to limit the visitors to just ten goals in the first half hour.
Head Coach David White was pleased with how the team started; "We certainly hit them hard at the beginning of the game and were out of sight by the end of the first quarter.
"Our game plan worked and even though we got a bit sloppy in the second half it was comfortable enough."
Storm were pushed harder after the half time break as Predators came back into the game, in fact the visitors won the last quarter 10-8 but by then the win was sealed and Storm move up to third place behind promotion favourites St Austell and St Agnes.
"I thought the three girls who stepped in did a great job," said White. "Olivia in particular had a very good first game at centre. She got some telling interceptions and once she settled down fed the circle really well."
Storm next face a return game with the league leaders St Austell at Redruth next Wednesday at 8.30pm. |
