Storm, who were facing first division Predators in an early start at the TISA, were forced into changes from the team that won on Friday night due to a ruling which prevented the club's new signings, Laura and Amy Clews, from playing because they've already played for their previous club in the same competition.

Saira O'Dwyer slotted in at Wing Attack as Storm set about their higher league opponents from the first whistle and ended up going into the first quarter break with a 10-6 lead.

Predators hit back in the next two quarters winning the second 10-5 and the third 9-5 to lead 25-20 going into the final period.

Storm got the gap down to three before Predators eased it out to five again to book a place in the final with a 32-27 win.

Chances were at a premium against a strong Predators defence but Sadie White (14 out of 16) and Betsy Willey (13 out of 17) shot extremely well under pressure.

"I was delighted we got the chance to play against higher league opposition, this is one of the reasons why we enter competitions like this," said White. "We certainly didn't disgrace ourselves, in fact we played some nice netball at times."

"Of course we made a few errors and we're still learning at this level so we're bound to but that doesn't take away from a good overall performance from us."

After the match the team were assisted in their recovery by Sports Massage Therapist Jessie Maguire, who's working with the club to make sure the girls are fit and raring to go for the next league game which is against Predators second team this coming Tuesday!

Then it was off for a team meal ... Sunday Carvery at the Norway Inn, well worth getting up early for on a Sunday morning!!
