With captain Sharon Teague missing the game, Storm started with the line up that began Monday's game against St Agnes at Truro Leisure Centre.

Storm were right in their stride from the opening moments and took a 6-0 lead before St Just hit back with four straight goals to tighten the scores up.

Storm edged away though and led 11-7 at the first quarter break.

A close second quarter saw Storm stretch their lead by a solitary goal as the period finished 10-9 but it was the third quarter that Storm really took control.

Fast centre passes and safer feeds into the circle and Storm began to dominate the second half.

Maggie Moore, Lisa Budd and Emma Heller were comfortably turning over possession and the attack of Laura Clews, Amy Clews, Betsy Willey and Sadie White put some nice moves together to make the most of the ball.

Storm took the third quarter 14-6 and the fourth quarter 19-6 with Betsy Willey switching back to Goal Shooter and scoring 8 out of 8 and Sadie White netting 11 out of 12 from Goal Attack in the final period.

Head Coach, David White was pleased with the overall performance; "If you look at the game as a whole the scoreline suggests it was quite comfortable and I suppose the second half scores would back that up but it was very tight in the first half and I thought St Just made it very difficult for us to play."

The scoreline may look quite comfortable but White admits it was the strength of his team's second half performance that won them the game; "We really got our game going after half time and there were some interesting one on one battles going on all over court.

"Amy had a much better game tonight and her and Laura's circle feeding was very good. Betsy and Sadie's shooting in the whole of the second half was exceptional, they only missed 5 out of 38 chances.

"I thought St Just's Wing Defence who went to Goal Defence in the final quarter was very good and gave our attack a lot to think about but we coped very well and I'm pleased to get our first ever win down there!"

The win for Storm now turns the pressure back on third placed St Agnes who have to beat league leaders St Austell on Wednesday, 21st April or else Storm will be promoted.

If St Agnes win then Storm need to win their remaining home game against St Just on Wednesday, 28th April to guarantee promotion.
