Storm's month of fundraising concluded at the Storm 1 v Liskeard Tigers game and the club handed over a staggering £1,200 to Shelterbox !
At another Cake 'n' Chocolate event Tony Williams, the District Shelterbox co-ordinator, and Lee Jeffrey, Chairman of Redruth Rotary Club, brought along a full box so everyone could see what goes inside.
Players and parents made some more delicious cakes, Bev Bradley, Steph Coltman and Becky Campbell were busy selling creamy hot chocolate while Lucy Campbell took around a tray of free biscuits for everyone.
All the junior players were in fine voice as well with their cheering and flag waving support for the first team.
Club secretary Sadie White says everyone can be proud of what they've done; "It's a tremendous effort from the whole club to raise enough money to send more boxes out to Haiti.
"Everyone has thrown themselves into the fund raising from Betsy and Maggie organising a coffee morning, Amy baking cakes and getting a collection going at her workplace, Sharon organising a bucket on the counter at Callington Post Office, all the junior players and parents who baked cakes and the many kind people who've come along and bought cakes and chocolate and not forgetting of course everyone who's just donated us money because it's such a worthy cause."
