Storm 2 recorded their first win of the New Year and their second of the season with a great performance away to Penzance 2.

Starting with the same team for the first time this season, Storm romped to an early 12-4 lead and never looked back as they won every quarter.

With Dani Ballard in top form under the posts and Storm moving the ball at pace through centre court the lead stretched to 31-15 at half time.

Rachael Cosier, who's still getting back to full fitness after a year out with a serious knee injury, came off midway through the third quarter after feeling she was being marked dangerously so Beth Andrew went on at Goal Attack.

Storm continued to press and went on to take the win 41-20.

Head Coach David White was pleased with the team's performance: "I thought it was probably our best performance of the season so far. We created lots of space in centre court and spread the ball wide really well."

"Dani was very accurate under the posts and I thought Charlotte and Olivia both had very good games again."

Storm 2 can move further up the table if they win when they face bottom side Falmouth 1 on Wednesday night at Redruth School starting at 8.30pm.
