Simon, David & Andrew after two weeks of moustache growing

If you've been following Storm lately you'll be aware of our three hairy characters who can be seen at our matches.

It's David White, Andrew Trenoweth & Simon Wells who are the Storm Hairicanes and they're taking part in Mo'vember with it's objective to raise awareness of Men's Cancer Charities.

It's a month long charity event where men grow moustaches.

Well, it's the end of week two and here's the result so far.

"It's just getting to the stage when it's starting to become annoying," said David White, Storm's Coach. "I've gone for the Trucker moustache which means the top lip and two bits down the sides but nothing under the chin because that's a goatee and that's against the rules!"

Yes, there really is a set of rules for the boys to follow and at the halfway stage everything's going well.

Photographer Andrew Trenoweth, for once on the other side of the lens, has gone for the South American look. "We're worried he's going to find a netball club in Columbia to photograph!" said White.

But it's Simon who's really worrying the other two.

"He seems to have thrown himself into it in a big way," said Andrew worryingly. "I bumped into him in the chemist the other day and he was trying to sneakily hide the moustache styling gel he'd bought."

David picks up the story, "The scary thing for me is I've got a friend who works at a costume hire shop and she informed me that a man matching Simon's description came in enquiring about Village People outfits. The trouble is we're not sure which one would suit him the best, maybe someone could help us decide which one he should wear and to which game!"

Hmmm, it's going to be a tough choice. We've gone for the cowboy or the biker but have a look at how Simon might shape up and let us know which character you think he should be by emailing us on hq@stormnc.co.uk
