Storm Hurricanes centre Martha Hilliard has been selected to attend the County Academy after being successful at the recent trials.
Martha, who was already selected for Satellite Academy for the second consecutive season, was put through her paces at Truro College.
After a successful trial she was invited to attend the County Academy this season.
She now joins her team mates Rebecca Hocking, Evie-Mai Hagger and Laura Butler who are also attending the County Academy.
Storm Coach David White was delighted, "I'm really pleased for Martha. She came to us at the start of last season and she's developed really well. She's very athletic, has a great leap and is very fast around court."
Martha is now eligible to play in the Storm 3 senior team in Division 6.
"We'll definately be giving Martha some senior experience," continued White. "I don't have any doubt she's good enough and she'll really benefit from playing with the seniors. We're also looking forward to putting Laura out in the seniors before Christmas as well."
Martha will continue to play as part of the Hurricanes this season in the Cornwall Junior League which continues after Christmas.
Hurricanes are currently top of the league having won all eight of their games so far. |
