Storm's two Under 14 teams got their season underway in the Junior League with three wins out of four games.
Hurricanes got off to a good start against Penryn to lead 7-2 at half time but four goals straight after the restart from Penryn brought the scores back to 7-6.
Hurricanes, who were featuring new members Rebecca Pearse and Laura Butler for the first time, then started to pull away to eventually win 14-8.
In their second game Hurricanes beat Lastonet 21-0.
Tornadoes are playing in the Junior League for the first time and had a tough opening week with fixtures against Bodmin 1 and St Austell 2.
With Tornadoes starting with two new Under 12 players, Olivia Crisp and Evie Sandow, Bodmin proved too strong winning 14-0.
The second game was a different story as Tornadoes staged a great second half fightback to beat St Austell 2.
Evie Sandow scored 5 goals as they fought back from 4-1 down to win 6-5!
