Storm 2 failed to grab a bonus point against the Division 3 leaders, Hayle 2 despite a spirited performance at Mounts Bay Dome.

In conditions that would have made an eskimo feel at home, 14 year old Rebecca Hocking made her first start for the second team.

She lined up alongside Dani Ballard in the shooting circle with Shannon Russell still missing through injury.

Hailey Collins also made her first start in the team at Goal Defence with Ruth Scott away with the Navy till April.

Storm made a reasonable start and were in touch at 9-6 after the first quarter but a disappointing second period sealed the result for the home team.

"It's a shame because I think the result doesn't give a true reflection on the game," said Storm Head Coach David White. "We played better than the scoreline suggests and I was pleased with how the girls did."

"Olivia had a good game again and both Rebecca and Hailey did well in their first games in the team. It would be nice to be able to put out the same seven for two games on the trot just once this season!!"

Storm 2's next game is a home match against Harriers 1 on Wednesday 20th January. This game has been moved to the TISA at Penryn College because Redruth School is unavailable. There's also an earlier start time at 8pm instead of 8.30pm.
