Storm Hurricanes shooter Laura Butler became the third of the clubs' County Academy players to play in the senior league.

Laura made her debut for the third team in their trip to Liskeard Cougars in Division 6 on Thursday night and what an exciting debut it was!

Storm were 9-3 down after the first quarter but Laura shot 8 out of 9 and Rachael Cosier, who's gradually making her way back from a serious knee injury, added another three as Storm took a 14-12 lead at half time.

Holly Hoskins took numerous interceptions to turnover play as Storm kept the pressure on the home team to take an 11-10 second half win and the match 25-22.

"The second quarter was definately our best and the whole team really pulled out a good 15 minutes to turn the first quarter deficit around in our favour," said Storm Head Coach David White.

"It's great to be able to give another of our young players experience in the senior league. I thought Laura settled in very well and had a good game under the posts."
