Cup cakes!
Shelterbox Fundraising Events!
Story: 1st February, 2010, 22:59 | Words: Storm NC

This Wednesday night Storm will be hoping to get closer to buying a Shelterbox to help the earthquake victims out in Haiti.

The club will be selling cakes at the first team home game that have been baked by players and parents.

Becky and Lucy Campbell came up with the idea and will be hosting the cake stall which will be situated in a room just off the sports hall where the first team will be playing Connect in a Division 2 match.

There will be a selection of fairy cakes, flapjacks and victoria sponges along with hot chocolate and soft drinks.

We would love to see as many people there as possible so come on down to watch the game and grab a cake or two in the process to help Storm reach it's total of £490 to buy the Shelterbox.

The game starts at 8.30 in Redruth School sports hall with the cake stall open for business from 8pm.

Cup cakes!

Then on Saturday, 6th February, Maggie Moore and Betsy Willey will be holding a coffee morning at Paynters Lane End Hall at Illogan from 10am till 12 noon.

There will be tea, coffee, biscuits, home-made cake stall plus a raffle.

First prize for the raffle is a Meal for 2 including a bottle of wine & coffee plus a 2 hour Gym and Swim session kindly donated by Gwel-An-Mor at Portreath.

Raffle tickets will also be available to buy at the first team home match on Wednesday night.

It would be great to see you if you can make it for Saturday morning coffee!

Good luck as well to Martha Hilliard and Evie-Mai Hagger who have convinced their school to let them have a non uniform day with money going to Storm's Shelterbox Appeal plus Ellie White and Kensa Jose who will be selling cakes at their school towards the Appeal.

A big "Thank You" to everyone who has contributed so far and if you can find the time to come and support these events we'd love to see you.

We're hoping to hand over the final amount to Shelterbox at the Storm 1 v Liskeard Tigers match at Redruth School on Wednesday, 24th February.
