“It’s been an exciting season for our firsts this year with some of them playing in our Regional League side as well,” said Head Coach David White “They trained hard and played some really good netball across the whole season.”

The U16 Junior League team, Cyclones, were awarded the Most Improved Team trophy.

Led by Coach Saira O’Dwyer, the team finished third in the League with a lot of the players making appearances in the Cornwall Senior League throughout the season as well.

The third award went to Storm’s Club Secretary and Treasurer, Sadie White.

Sadie is also the Secretary of Cornwall Netball and is responsible for arranging the independent umpires for Cornwall Division One and for the Cornish sides in the South West Regional League.

“I was very surprised when I heard my name,” said White. “It’s certainly been a challenge to ensure clubs have umpires throughout the season but year on year we’re building on what we do and it’s all working out well.”

She received the Jean Davies Rose Bowl for services to Cornwall throughout the 2017/18 season.
