Storm’s End of Season Awards Party was held at Camborne Rugby Club as players, coaches and supporters got together to celebrate.
Over 140 people gathered on Saturday night to celebrate another great season.
The traditional gathering of players and coaches from all squads once again enabled the club to look back on a thrilling season which saw a first season in the South West Senior Regional League.
Rookie of the Year, Bryher Croker, was one of those players in the Cornwall Storm Regional Squad and at 13 became the youngest Storm player to play at Senior Regional level.
“It’s important for us to get the whole club together to celebrate right from our 8 year old Junior Development players through to our Regional Squad,” said Club Secretary, Sadie White. “It was so lovely to see everyone having a good time.”
There were Storm Achievement Awards for Phoebe Lagor and Caitlyn Oates. “It’s important we give players the recognition they deserve,” said Head Coach David White.
“Phoebe and Caitlyn have done brilliantly with their performances for the club but also in playing for the British Colleges and Team Bath U19 respectively and we’re all very proud of them.”
Phoebe Lagor and Hannah Cox won the Coach’s Player of the Year award, with Harriet Sparling taking the U16 trophy, Bryher Croker the U14 award and Camilla Kingston the U12.
“We’d also like thank our club sponsors, Wheal Jane Group, South Crofty Collection, KHK Media and Philosophi, their support has been invaluable for the past three years,” said White.
