Storm came from behind to snatch a win in the final few minutes of the fourth quarter against second placed Lastonet 4.
Trailing for the whole game, Storm dug in deep to score 7 goals without reply in the last five minutes.

Storm were forced into making changes for the game with Captain Saira O'Dwyer missing with a torn calf muscle and Goal Attack Emma Vardy carrying a foot injury meaning her movement was restricted a little.
Lastonet took an early 3-0 lead but Storm fought back to level the scores before going behind again to trail 9-4 at the end of the first.
"I thought we looked like we hadn't played competitively for 5 weeks which is of course the case," said Storm Coach David White. " We were a little slow getting it together."
Beth Andrew, who started at centre, moved to Wing Attack while Charlotte Jackson came off the bench at centre. Jackie James moved from WA to Wing Defence replacing Rachel Cosier.
Lastonet pulled further away and led 18-12 at the half time break.
"We were playing quite inconsistently at this point. One minute we would put some great passing moves together and the next we would make a string of basic errors to hand the impetus back to them."
Bianca Lincoln and Kerry Hawkins swapped defensive potitions in the circle while Rachel Cosier came back on at Wing Defence for the start of the second half and made some telling interceptions.
"I thought Rachel had a wonderful second half, she was getting everywhere and her interceptions at the centre passes gave us a chance to win back possession."

Storm were still trailing 24-20 at the end of third quarter despite actually winning the period 8-6.
"It was one of those games where it looked like we were just not quite going to do enough and would end up with perhaps two points but we made some more changes at the quarter break and the girls really pulled it around."
Storm swapped Shannon Russell back to her regular position of Goal Shooter, Beth Andrew went to Goal Attack while Jackie James came on at Wing Attack.
"Emma's foot was a little sore meaning she couldn't get out on court in her normal position so we moved Beth in and Shannon back to Shooter."
Storm got the score back to 25-24 before Lastonet pulled away again and with five minutes left to play Storm were still losing 29-26.
Then the home side started to get their game together and scored 7 without conceding to take the game 33-29.
"We've got a lot to thank our defence for in the last few minutes, they made countless interceptions and forced turnovers which allowed us to move the ball down court again.
"I remember looking at the clock when it was 29-26 thinking we still had enough time but I certainly wasn't expecting a last few minutes like that.
"I don't think we deserved the win judging by how we played over the whole game but I can't fault the girls effort for sticking with it and then putting that good spell together at the end."
The Storm win means Lastonet now can't catch the leaders making Connect 3 the Division 5 Champions for this season.
"We'd like to send our congratulations to Rob and everyone at Connect for their league win. I think over the course of the season they've definately been the best team in the league.
"I still remember our home game against them in January when we only lost by 3. That was just after we made some big changes to the team bringing in our young players and it proved to be a real turning point for us."
Storm 2's next match is away to Harriers at Camborne School on Thursday April 10th at 7:30pm. |
