Storm 2 came away with all five points against Bodmin 3 after a game that could have gone either way.
Storm started the stronger and led 9-6 following a good first quarter.

A solid start to the second quarter and Storm had built up a five goal lead but Bodmin came right back into the game and there was only a goal in it at the half time break.
Bodmin continued to press and at the end of the third quarter the game could have gone either way being finely balanced at 18-18.
A good start to the fourth quarter with Emma Vardy and Kerry Shears scoring quick goals was enough for Storm as they ran out 6-4 winners in the last to take the game 24-22.
"Another tight game against Bodmin 3," said Storm coach David White, "We knew after the first game at the Dragon Centre it was going to be tough but I'm proud of how the girls knuckled down and denied Bodmin time and space to play."
"I was pleased with how we defended again tonight and the more Emma and Kerry play together in attack the better understanding they are getting."
"I thought it was important to use a couple of our Under 16's again tonight and we decided to give a league debut to Beth Andrew."
"I thought both Beth and Shannon Russell played very well in such a tight game."
Storm 2 now face a tough weekend of matches starting Friday 2nd November at home to Camborne Park 1 followed by an away match at Connect 3 on Monday 5th. |
