Storm finished their title winning season with a narrow victory over third placed St Agnes at Redruth School.

Storm were without Tamara Hick (unavailable) and Saira O'Dwyer (ankle injury) so started with a completely new line up.

Henri Sloan moved to Goal Defence, Jenny Evans to Wing Defence, Sadie White to Goal Attack, Gemma Irwin to Goal Shooter and Emma Vardy started her first Storm 1 game at Wing Attack.

Storm got off to a slow start as the players got used to their new positions and St Agnes led 9-8 at the break.

"It was the perfect opportunity to take a look at how players responded to being given new roles," said Storm Coach David White. "I decided to make changes every quarter and have a look at a variety of combinations."

Sadie White and Gemma Irwin swapped shooting roles for the second quarter and Storm won it 12-7.

More changes at half time as 15 year old Shannon Russell made her first team debut at Goal Shooter with Sadie White moving to Wing Attack.

Sadie and Shannon swapped positions at three quarter time as St Agnes piled on the pressure in the last 15 minutes.

Storm held out though to end the season on a winning note.

"No team likes to finish with a defeat and although I was making changes all the time and looking at some things I was aware the girls wanted to end with a win."

"St Agnes put us under great pressure in the last quarter and the girls responded well and held on to take the victory."

"We'd like to thank the management and staff at the Treleigh Arms who laid on a surprise meal of sausage and chips for all of us last night!"

"We've thoroughly enjoyed going there after every game and we'll continue to do so next season so thank you for your support this year."

"We're also looking forward to some pleasant drinks out on their terrace after summer training!!"

Storm now move straight into summer fitness and agility training before taking a break in June, then returning in July to prepare for an assault on Division 3.
