Storm 1 got their season off and running with a solid win at home to Falmouth 3.

Storm took control from the start and led 21-3 after the first quarter through some excellent attacking play from Sadie White, Gemma Irwin, Tamara Hick and Sharon Teague.

"I was really delighted with how we moved the ball tonight," said Storm coach David White.

In defence Lisa Budd, Jenny Evans and Henri Sloan looked solid and limited the opportunities in Falmouth's attack.

There was a slightly worrying moment in the third quarter when Lisa Budd went over on her ankle but she recovered to continue playing.

Gemma Irwin was rested in the fourth quarter and Kerry Shears came on from the bench to score 8 goals as Sadie White moved to Goal Attack.

Storm 1's next match is at home to Bodmin 2 on Friday 12th October at 8:30pm.
