Storm closed in on the 4th Division title with a convincing win over fourth placed Bumble Bees.

Kerry Hawkins again started for Tamara Hick who was unavailable meaning Storm were unchanged from the line up that won at Silhouettes.

Storm raced out of the blocks and took control of the game from the first centre to lead
17-7 at the quarter break.

Gemma Irwin shot 100% for the quarter while Sadie White missed only one but still managed to score her 1,000th goal for the club with her second goal of the night.

"I don't think there was ever any doubt the girls would be up for this one," said Storm Coach David White. "We needed a good start and we got one to put us right where we wanted to be."

"I'm really pleased for Sadie. 1,000 goals is a tremendous milestone in less than three seasons so congratulations to her."

The second quarter was tighter as Bumble Bees started to get back into the game.

Storm took it 12-9 to lead 29-16 at the half time break.

Then a great third quarter where Storm's defence limited Bees to just one goal while the attack continued to move the ball freely to take the period 12-1.

"We played some great flowing netball at times and the speed at which Gemma and Sadie were swapping passes in the circle was fantastic."

Storm romped home with a 17-5 final quarter to take the match 57-22 and set up a showdown with third placed St Agnes next week.

"With St Agnes winning at Falmouth that match is going to be a great one to watch. There's so much riding on it, not just promotion but the Championship as well!!

"The girls know how important it is and they'll be fit and raring to go!"

Storm know that a win away to St Agnes means they will be the Division 4 Champions for this season.

The match is at Richard Lander School on Thursday 17th April and gets underway at 8:30pm.
