Storm won the Division 4 title with a display of fast moving netball and clinical finishing.

After a season of hard training and exciting matches the title was on the line as both clubs knew only a victory would keep the dream of winning the division alive.

"You could tell what an important game this was," said Storm Coach David White. "Both teams went goal for goal in the first five minutes and no one wanted to make a mistake."

Storm settled down midway through the quarter and had pulled out an 11-7 lead.

"Once we settled down we started to move the ball through mid court really well."

A solid second quarter and Storm led 23-12 at half time.

"I decided to change things around at half time just to freshen up our attack and defence a little. Kerry Hawkins gave her all in the first half so we switched Jenny Evans back to Goal Defence, Henri Sloan dropped back to Wing Defence while Saira O'Dwyer came on at Wing Attack."

The changes had a big effect as Storm romped to their best quarter score of 18-10 to effectively seal the match and the title.

"The third quarter set us up nicely for a fairly comfortable last 15 minutes. We had a minor scare when Lisa Budd went down with cramp but a quick rest and a spray and she was back fighting fit!"

Storm took the last quarter 11-9 and with it the Division 4 title and promotion to Division 3 next season.

"Everyone is overjoyed at the outcome of this season especially the players who've all worked so hard to achieve this."

"I personally want to thank every single person who's had anything to do with our club this year from the players, the parents, the volunteers, the umpires, Andrew our official photographer, Simon who updates our live scores during matches, all our club sponsors, Livewire, Bu-Mar Skip Hire and all the supporters who have been in fine voice all season."

"From my point of view, I am so proud of all the girls. I think they deserve this, they've played some great netball this season and have been completely committed to training. Well done girls and thank you!"

Storm 1 round off their season with the return fixture at home to St Agnes on Friday 25th April at Redruth School with an 8:30pm start.
