Storm down the Highway To Hell!

Think of two things that you couldn't imagine going together ... heavy rock music and netball may spring to mind. Well now they do because Storm Netball Club is about to be sponsored by one of the UK's top AC/DC tribute acts - Livewire!

"Whole Lotta Rosie", "Highway To Hell" and "You Shook Me All Night Long" are just three of the songs you could hear belting out at Storm training sessions this season after a unique deal with an AC/DC tribute act.

Livewire play all over the UK with their awesome show including regular sell-out gigs in Cornwall.

Is this really Angus?
We're on a Highway To Hell!!

This year though the band will have an added interest every time they visit the Duchy as they're sponsoring Storm Netball Club.

“Attention to detail” is their watchword from the AC/DC signature sound, the instruments, the stage attire, right through to recreating the moves and the grooves.

The band are turning their gig at the Acorn Theatre in Penzance on Saturday December 15th into a benefit show for Storm.

They'll be donating money to the club for every ticket sold and in return the Storm players will be sporting the Livewire logo on their shirts this season.

AC/DC's charismatic lead guitarist, Angus Young, is famous for wearing his school uniform on stage and some of the Storm girls will be replicating this look for a photoshoot with the band later in the year.

If you'd like to go to the show you'll not only have an amazing evening full of great AC/DC music plus a full on show but you'll also be helping the club.

LIVEWIRE AC/DC - "Lock Up Your Mothers Tour" is at the Acorn Arts Centre, Penzance on Saturday 15th December 2007.

Doors open at 8pm. Tickets are £12 in advance.
