Storm got involved in this years Comic Relief event when the BBC Radio Cornwall Men took on the BBC Radio Cornwall Ladies in a special challenge match.
The game took place at Carn Brea Leisure Centre and featured Storm coach David White and Storm Club Captain Sharon Teague in the "Men's" team!

| It all turned out friendly in the end!! |

The team also featured Lastonet coach Peter Gribble alongside Matt Pengelly, Simon Wells, Martin Bailie , Matthew Shepherd and Andrew Kennedy.
Sharon was forced to start the game with a stick on moustache but that soon fell off and she resorted to drawing on a moustache and side burns!!
The match officials had a hard time trying to keep control and bring some order to proceedings but Lisa Budd and Sadie White did an admirable job assisted by Henri Sloan on the watch!
However, Lisa Budd won no favour with her coach when she sin-binned him for violent conduct!
Ok, putting a boot up the behind of a Goal Keeper trying to pick up a ball may have deserved a card but she seemed to relish the opportunity!!
The umpires were also wearing microphones which went direct to the PA system and allowed supporters who weren't up to speed with all the rules to follow the game much easier.
Music played everytime a goal was scored and there was pre-match and half time entertainment which all helped create a great atmosphere.
The Men won by the way 19-16!! |
