Camborne Park got off to the stronger start taking the first quarter 8-6 but Storm hit back in the second 11-8 to take a slender 17-16 lead at the half time break.
Beth Andrew partnered Shannon Russell in the shooting circle for the third quarter but Storm lost out 8-7 to leave the game tied 24-24 at three quarter time.
Storm reverted to their original shooting partnership but just couldn't quite take the last eventually losing the quarter 11-8 and the match 35-32 to remain in second place in the table.
"Obviously the girls are disappointed," said Storm Coach David White. "They know they can play a lot better than they did."
"We struggled getting the ball out of defence but I still felt Shannon and Emma looked dangerous whenever we got the ball around their circle."
Emma Vardy's solitary goal in the last quarter was her 100th goal of the season.
Storm 2 now have a long break until April 4th when they face Lastonet 4 at home at 8:30pm. |
