The Storm girls got a surprise training session when they were taken to Bodmin to be put through their paces by fitness instructor Mike Munds.
Mike runs his own fitness studio and led the girls in a session of boxing!

The players didn't know where they were going as all they were told is that they were going out for an end of season "surprise"!!
It was certainly a surprise and more than they bargained for but everyone, without fail, threw themselves into it 100% and everyone had a fantastic night!
"They all looked to be enjoying it," said instructor Mike Munds, "I tell you what, some of those girls can certainly land a punch as well!"
Who exactly the girls were thinking about when they were punching is unclear but their coach has an idea.
"I have a horrible feeling it might have been me they were imagining", said David White, "I don't think this was quite the end of season treat they were expecting! They all said afterwards that they loved it though so I think I'm off the hook ... for now!!"
The girls did some shadow boxing before working out with a variety of bags, mitts, speed balls, skipping and even by thumping the life out of Bob, the punch bag that looks like a man!! They enjoyed that bit particularly!!
We're all very grateful to Mike for a fantastic session and we'll certainly be back before the start of the season! |
